Need help uploading your files to your student webspace? Check out this video..

I created this video to show how to upload files to your student web space using our assignment from tutorial 02. I created the video using Jing Project which enforces a time limit of 5 minutes. To stay within the 5 minute limit, I paused the video several times, which is why you see my mouse move to the bottom of the screen during the video. ...So I apologize for that element of confusion.

Also, you will see my account in the initial view of FileZilla rather than that of a student account. Just after that, I created another Site in FileZilla, so you will see two site's listed 'Nicole's Delta Account' and 'A Student Delta Account'. One of my students logged in to their web space in the video, so that you could see what your account settings should look like in the program. I hope you find this helpful if you are having trouble getting in to your student web space.

Hyperlinks, Anchors and Image Maps

Today we worked through Tutorial 02 in our text in a hands on way, building two pages to demonstrate links to files within a website, to external links, or to other places on the same page. We also worked with image links and image maps, which helped us understand how to use coordinates within an image and the map tag to create a hotspot location on a graphic.

The assignment we will be working with for this chapter is Case Problem 1 from Tutorial 02 on page 89. This assignment should be uploaded to a folder named 'tutorial02' in your Delta webspace and it's link should be provided to me in the eLearning system before class next Thursday, November 10th.

Next week we will begin working with Tutorial 03 which explores Cascading Style Sheets.
